SINGING at RAPA
Teacher: Nick Stamatiou
This early voice development series will establish healthy foundation skills in your child. Carefully crafted exercises teach fundamental musical and ‘body’
language while being fun and immersive. Older children will learn to listen more deeply and interpret sounds and music, and vocal technique becomes a focus in natural ways.
Recording techniques are covered and students are given an opportunity to spend time in a professional recording studio.
Each class group has four essential focus’s with various age appropriate developments.
VOICE
PERFORMANCE
Authentic performance training through exploration of imagery and archetypes, owning your place on the
stage and performance; live p.a. performance tips like mic technique, setting up for gigs, dealing with feedback and mic placement issues.
PRACTICAL MUSIC THEORY
Ear training and recognizing the beautiful repeating patterns in music; Song interpretation and arrangement.
BREATH
Breath control and connecting with your center; Breathing styles for meditation, singing, dance and aerobic work.
Places in all of RAPA's programs are limited.

SINGING TEACHER : Nick Stamatiou
Nick (aka harmonick) is diverse, first and foremost. Whether its recording and producing his own music or many others from the rich Melbourne music scene;
performing solo and with numerous ensembles: choral, gospel, soul, jazz, avante garde; to teaching voice, music, breath and performance to 100s of people in
workshop and private settings; Nick’s style is eclectic and far ranging.
His teaching brings a body based approach to voice and performance peppered with the benefit of many years training in Psychology, Education and Neurolinguistic
Programming (NLP). He has worked with professional bands and theatrical vocalists but equally, has experience with children and A.B.I. Groups.
His drive centers around the infinite possibilities of the human voice and constantly seeks to push the bounds of what vocal
