AGES 12 -17 RAPA ENSEMBLE This ensemble group is a mixed age group where each student has performed in at least two RAPA productions and has shown the skills and passion to embrace the unifying creative energies that working together in an ensemble requires.

All DRAMA classes return in 2022- pending any Covid restrictions and Dept of Health advice.

With delays in the development of productions in 2021 because of covid, we look forward to bursting into 2022 with positive creative endeavour. This will include the rehearsal and completion of the eight-part radio play series, The Listening Tree, as well as the staging of two works in progress, the re-invention of Beauty and the Beast and the Rapa Ensemble's original work 'Children of the Revolution'.

Many Rapa actors were cast in short films in 2021, with some of those films taking out awards at the Lantern & Light International Film Festival. The cross-pollination of film and drama will continue in RAPA throughout 2022.

OUR PREVIOUS PRODUCTIONS:

2017

The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe

2018

Two productions were mounted at Burrinja Cultural Centre.

The RAPA Ensemble group created ALICE IN STEAMPUNK LAND, this was an adaptation of Caroll's "Alice in Wonderland" with a mash-up of Kafka's "Metamorphosis".  The work was an  extraordinary production showcasing the wonderful character development capabilities within the group and included song and dance.

The 8-11 year olds staged a premier of a funny absurdist play titled: THE LAST DRAGON'S CHAIR. This group had their audience laughing in delight, and their understanding of character and stage timing was beyond their age.

2019 Three productions;

1. The RAPA Ensemble staged Addams in-Family Feud.
